23. Grateful to Emcee SIBCON 2022 - Conference Emcee in Singapore Melvin Ho
I was thrilled to be part of the Singapore International Bunkering Conference and Exhibition (SIBCON) 2022 which was held in person this year after a hiatus due to the pandemic.
This prestigious event, organized by the government agency, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, is the world's largest and most influential marine fuel event. It was a pleasure and honour to be entrusted with keeping the conference flowing and introducing global decision-makers from the shipping and bunkering community.
This was my fifth time back as SIBCON's emcee, and I'm grateful to the Informa Markets team's unwavering support throughout the years!
With the theme of "driving the transformation of marine fuels," SIBCON 2022 was focused on discussing the trade and supply chain developments, growth and commercial realities of the fuels marketplace. It also provided a platform for critical discussions on digitalization, decarbonization, and the implications for marine fuels.
As the conference emcee, my role was to keep the conference flowing and ensure the conference ran on time. I introduced the events and esteemed speakers and even had the chance to introduce the SIBCON party, where delegates came together to network over music and drinks!
It was an honour to be part of such a momentous event for the industry, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to its success. I look forward to the next SIBCON and continuing to support the maritime industry.
